New Polytech Alumni team
At the beginning of May 2021, the directors of the 14 alumni associations belonging to Polytech Alumni came together for thefor the Annual General Meeting of Polytech Alumni, the federation of graduates from the schools in the Polytech network.
This moment of digital exchange enabled the associations to take stock of the continuation of associative activities to support graduates of the Polytech network during this period of health crisis, and to continue promoting our scientific training and our engineering degree. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Matthieu Herwegh and his team for carrying out their project despite the health crisis.
During the general assembly, the member associations of Polytech Alumni elected the list led by Hugo Pley-Leclercq, a 2013 graduate of Polytech Orléans specializing in Civil Engineering and Geo-Environment.
After a year of health crisis that shook up our organizations and affected our alumni and future graduates, the project to develop a dynamic alumni network, a creator of opportunities and a player in the transition, convinced our alumni representatives.velopment of a dynamic alumni network, a creator of opportunities and a player in the transition, convinced the alumni representatives.
To carry out this project, the new Polytech Alumni team will focus on 5 themes:
- Create a dynamic network
- Make a societal impact on sustainable development issues and demonstrate our social responsibility by supporting the Femmes Ingénieures Polytech project and initiatives to promote the professional integration of disabled people.
- Forging links between generations
- Giving our associations the financial means to carry out ambitious projects
- Supporting local alumni associations in the Polytech network
This new team, comprising more than 30 engineers with varied personal and professional experience, representing the classes of 1994 to 2018, is already working to develop the Polytech alumni network.
The AGM concluded with the new team's first action: the signing of an initial partnership with MECOFINANCE (a company specializing, among other things, in mortgage brokerage). The signing took place between Hugo Pley-Leclercq and Laurent Greff, a 1987 graduate of Polytech Nancy and manager of Mécofinance. "Thanks to this type of partnership, we hope to energize our network and offer new services to our alumni," emphasizes the new president of Polytech Alumni (more details on MyPolytechNetwork).
